Description
The Award Ceiling for Year 1 is 0 (none). CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $6,000,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds. The goal of this NOFO is to enhance Eswatini’s response to HIV and TB by providing targeted technical support to government structures, focusing on ending HIV as a public health threat in alignment with global and U.S. government priorities. The support will bolster the Ministry of Health's (MoH) technical and organizational capacities for effective program leadership, oversight, planning, and coordination. The goal is to increase MoH ownership, efficiency, and accountability while enhancing quality of services, monitoring program performance, supporting integrated service delivery, and fostering innovation through evidence-based interventions. Key program priorities are preventing new infections, quickly identifying and treating individuals not on treatment, maintaining viral suppression, and reducing morbidity and mortality. Organizational capacity building will focus on leadership, governance, resource mobilization, financial management, and workforce development. Technical capacity building will facilitate the rapid adaptation of the response to HIV and TB by supporting the MOH to update strategies, policies, and guidelines, and strengthen government clinical and community service delivery structures to maintain quality and outcomes as they transition from donor support. A similar approach may be used to strengthen organizational, financial, and technical capacity of select local entities. You may also be required to provide targeted service delivery support to fill gaps.
