ISLAMIC FAITH LEADER SERVICES

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional [FCI] Danbury, Connecticut anticipates making a single award for the provision of an Islamic Faith Leader to provide worship services to the inmate population at the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution [FCI] and Federal Prison Camp [FPC], 33 ½ Pembroke Road, Danbury, CT 06811. This requirement has been established to support comprehensive religious programs within the Correctional Facility's Religious Services Department. The proposed contract shall be a firm-fixed price, requirements type. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 813110. Faith-based and Community-based Organizations (AUG 2005) have the right to submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated award date is February 1, 2013. It is estimated that the successful contractor will normally work two (2) sessions on Fridays between the hours of 12:30 and 3:00 pm. The exact hours will be mutually agreed upon by the contractor and the CM after contract award. A session will equal one (1) hour. The FCI/FPC is expected to require an estimated 104 sessions per year. The schedule shall not exceed two (2) hours per week. The contract performance period is anticipated to consist of a base year from the effective date of award through September 30, 2013. Thereafter, four (4) one-year option renewal possibilities are provided for at the sole discretion of the Government, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations [FAR subpart 17]. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies will not be available.
