Job Corps is federally-funded, educational and vocational training program for economically Challenged young adults ages 16 through 24. The program annually services approximately 70,000 young men and women, at 122 Job Corps centers nationwide established in 1964. Job Corps is currently authorized by the Work force Investment Act of 1998, as amended and is administered by the office of Job Corps Employment and Training Administration. U. S. Department of Labor. Job Corps mission is to provide young adults with the tools necessary to attain meaningful jobs that lead to successful careers. Vocational training is a primary component of the Job Corps Program. Adams and Associates, Inc. contracted by the U.S. Department of Labor for the operation for the Woodstock Job Corps Center, a 505 student residential training facility located at 10900 Old Court Road, Woodstock, Maryland is currently soliciting written proposals and bids for a subcontractor to provide a Career Technical Training Program to include, Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide (CNA/GNA), Medical Office Assistant and Clinical Medical Assistant. Cost-reimbursable agreement to provide off-site certified career technical training skills instruction based on provisions set forth in Training Achievement Record (TAR) requirements, the contractor’s Continuing Education Curriculum and contracted performance goals as established by the United States Department of Labor, Office of Youth Services and Job Corps. Instruction is to be provided on a year-round schedule five days per week (Monday-Friday). The contract period of performance will be August 1, 2009 through July 31, 2010, with four one-year options to be exercised at the discretion of Adams and Associates, Inc. Proposals must detail cost for each career technical training service being bid. Bidders may propose to instruct all three career technical training programs or selected trades they are certified to instruct.
