41--service existing chiller

Provide all certified technical labor, material, equipment, supervision, and quality assurance necessary to replace worn materials/update applicable components/restore the compressor performance to the equivalence of the original new chiller, in order to prevent refrigerant leaks/efficiency loss/compressor failures/unscheduled downtime on the Trane chiller model number CVHF091FDV0O3UV2918W1E8T30000000LA0F000K 010, serial number L97C01573, located in utility plant building 10 in accordance with the following specifications: 1. refrigerant removal and replacement per statute; 2. dismantling of the centrifugal compressor; 3. refrigerant analysis using a chemical laboratory meeting equipment manufacturer specifications*; 4. inspection/verification of the inlet guide vane assembly/motor shaft/labyrinth seals/impellers compared to manufacturer specifications*; 5. motor inspection including a rotor bar and resistance analysis of the motor to equipment manufacturer specifications*; 6. verification/adjustment of the controls and measuring devices*; 7. inspection of the overload controls/contactors/wiring/other starter components*; 8. cleaning/inspection of the lubrication system including the oil pump/regulator/filters/heating elements/sump*; 9. cleaning/inspection of economizer and liquid line flanges, with recommended repair as necessary*; 10. installation of new compressor motor bearings meeting equipment manufacturer specifications; 11. reassembling of the centrifugal compressor/auxiliary vapor and liquid lines/sight glasses with all new gaskets meeting equipment manufacturer specifications; 12. installation of motor terminal board using new gaskets and terminal O-rings meeting equipment manufacturer specifications; 13. replacing relief valve rupture disk and gaskets; 14. chiller evacuation and leak testing meeting equipment manufacturer specifications; 15. charge with refrigerant and adjust charge as necessary. Any additional refrigerant required will be provided by this facility (VA). VA approval will be required if refrigerant cleaning or if additional refrigerant is needed; 16. start-up/operation check of chiller; 17. verification of operating parameters and the adjustment of the chiller as per original equipment manufacturer specifications; 18. provision of a 5 year extended warranty on compressor motor/bearings/lubrication systems; 19. installation of nameplate indicating vendor issued 5 year extended warranty on compressor motor/bearings/lubrication systems; 20. issuance of a parts and labor warranty certificate covering compressor motor failure/compressor bearing failure/compressor lubrication system failure; with note given that above items which include an * symbol, which require additional repair and/or parts will be brought to VA attention, will be quoted separately, and will be done only after receiving VA authorization either via separate purchase order(s) or via amendment to this purchase order; 21. dispose all debris caused by this work off station; 22. perform thorough cleaning of any area affected by this work when work has been completed. Patch/repair/replace/paint as necessary any buiding componenets/equipment/furniture damaged due to this work; 23. coordinate work with Rodney Hackman, Utility Plant Supervisor, @ 717-272-6621 x4707.
