Tongass National Forest , Wrangell Bunkhouse Water Damage Repair, Wrangell Ranger District, Alaska Region. The Wrangell Ranger District on the Tongass National Forest has a requirement to repair water damage in their bunkhouse. The intent of this contract is to provide for facility repair consisting of, but not limited to: selective demolition of insulation, underlayment, trim, and baseboard heater; underlayment and flooring installation; mold stain removal; insulation; and vapor barrier replacement, at the USDA Forest Service Bunkhouse facility in Wrangell, Alaska The bunkhouse is a 3,025 SF, single-story wood-framed building. The building is located at 525 Bennett Street in Wrangell, AK. The Contractor shall furnish all management, labor, equipment, supervision, tools, materials, transportation, operating supplies, supervision, workman’s compensation, unemployment insurance and incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specifications, drawings and provisions of the contract. This procurement requires the use of Biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price. There will be one award. The work is estimated to start in December. The Contractor shall complete the insulation removal and application of mold stain remover within 15 days from the Notice to Proceed. All other items must be completed 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Reference Section F of the solicitation. The project is estimated between $0 and $25,000. This project will be advertised as a written request for quotes. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or November 20, 2020 (today). The actual due date of quotes will be listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be posted electronically on at this site when it issues. No hard copies of the solicitation or amendments will be mailed. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. NAICS code is 236118 size standard is $39.5 million.
