Construct Traffic Checkhouse N. Gate

This is a synopsis notice in accordance with FAR Part 5.2. Eglin AFB FL has a requirement to Construct a Traffic Checkhouse at the North Gate on Eglin AFB FL. The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220 and the size standard of $33.5M. This is a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) set-aside. This is a Trade Off acquisition and award will be made based upon the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered by the agency. Only one contract is to be awarded for this requirement. This project includes but is not limited to the following: furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials, and performing all operations required to Construct a Traffic Checkhouse at the North Gate on Eglin AFB, FL. The intent of this project is to build a Traffic Checkhouse and appropriate traffic, parking, and inspection lanes in accordance with the Statement of Work dated 10 April 2014, and the Specifications and Drawings dated 25 July 2012. The estimated performance period is 480 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment in accordance with the plans and specifications. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. In accordance with FAR 52.232-18, Availability of Funds, funds are not currently available for this requirement. No award will be made until funds are available to make payments under a contract. The Government reserves the right to cancel this requirement either before or after receipt of proposals with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal RFP will be available on the Federal Government Electronic Posting System www.fedbizopps.gov on or about 17 June 2014. The ESTIMATED PROPOSAL DUE DATE is 17 July 2014. No response to this notice is necessary and no Source List will be maintained . Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/ prior to award of a Government contract.
