Z -- Remodeling of front lobby entrance with ballistic glass at the Federal Detention Center in Houston, Texas

This is a pre-solicitation notice. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates awarding a firm fixed price contract to refurbishing of the front lobby of FDC Houston with ballistic glazing. The contractor shall be required to provide and install all ballistic glass in accordance with the statement of work. This project will be conducted at the Federal Detention Center at 1200 Texas Avenue, Houston, Texas 77002. The NAICS for this acquisition is 236220. The contract amount is not expected to exceed $100,000. Participation by small, small-disadvantaged, HUBZone small businesses, woman-owned small businesses, veteran owned small businesses, and service disabled veteran owned small businesses is encouraged. Faith-based and Community-based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. Firms will be evaluated and selected in accordance with the criteria set-forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 36.602-1, Selection Criteria. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers and are, with the exception of price, listed in descending order of importance: past performance, technical, price. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities website, www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The web site includes downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this web site.
