The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) New Orleans District has the following requirement: NOTE: THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE, NOT A SOLICITATION. INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS PRESOLICITATION NOTICE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE The resulting solicitation, W912P823B0022, will be issued as Invitation for Bid (IFB) and resulting in the award of a single firm fixed price (FFP) contract. The solicitation will be issued on or about 2nd Qtr, FY 2023. Actual issue date and anticipated bid opening will be shown when the solicitation is issued. The work consists of construction in a harsh environmental with installation of 4 miles of clay dune core, 3 miles of repairs to existing geotube core, and beach nourishment along the Grand Isle coastline; work includes dredging approximately 1,000,000 CY of sand for beach nourishment, placement of 120,000 CY of clay core, and 13,000 LF of repairs to existing sand filled geotube; and other incidental work. (The estimated time of completion is 400 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. The solicitation will include 76 drawings and specifications). The majority of dredging activities associated with the construction would be water based and via dredge. The majority of dune core repairs will be land based. The estimated construction magnitude is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. The Government anticipates this solicitation will be unrestricted. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990. Any responsible source meeting the required standards may submit a bid to be considered by the New Orleans District. The Government will not provide written paper copies of the solicitation.
