RECOVERY - Installation of Watershed Protection Measures Swan Quarter, Hyde County North Carolina

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) State Office in Raleigh, NC will solicit a Watershed Protection and Flood Prevention Act project under Solicitation # AG-4532-S-10-0011 on or about June 2, 2010. The project consists of the construction of four earthen dikes and a vinyl sheet pile wall with composite post piling, replacement pipes and tide gates, raising State Roads 1135 and 1137, and NC 45 at 3 locations, and ditch cleanout with pipe replacement along US 264 for flood protection and water control. The project may involve any or all of the following construction services or variations thereof: mobilization & demobilization, clearing and grubbing, structure removal, pollution control, seeding, sprigging, and mulching, construction surveys, traffic control, removal of water, piling, excavation, earthfill, drainfill, topsoiling, diversions and waterways, structure concrete, corrugated polyethylene tubing, corrugated metal pipe, rock riprap, water control gates, metal fabrication and installation, timber fabrication and installation, contractor quality control, geotextile, vinyl sheet pile, asphalt pavement, and NC DOT components. This project will be within Hyde County, North Carolina and work is to be completed within 265 calendar days. The estimated price range is $1,000,000.00 to$5,000,000.
