Description
Sandpoint Ranger District, Idaho Panhandle National Forests is requesting quotes for the grubbing, excavation and embankment of approximately 18,950 LF of trail tread. Clearing will be completed by the Forest Service. All cut logs, trees, brush, branches, plants etc. will be disposed of outside the clearing limit prior to the start of the contract. All work will be done at locations staked on the ground. The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies and perform all work required to complete the project in accordance with drawings, specifications, and provisions of the contract. The project is located approximately 20 miles southeast of Sandpoint, Idaho in Township 56 North, Range 1 East, and Section 19 on the Sandpoint Ranger District, Idaho Panhandle National Forests, Bonner County. From Sandpoint take Hwy 95 south 6 miles to Sagle Road; turn left onto Sagle Road and go 7 miles to Garfield Bay Cut-off; take the cut-off and go 2 miles; turn left and go 1 mile to Mineral Point Road 532; turn right onto Road 532 and go 3 miles to Road 532A; turn right onto Road 532A and go the end of the road. The Mineral Point trailhead is located at the end of the road. The price range is under $25,000. No Pre-Bid tour is scheduled. The start work date is September 5, 2007. All work on site must be completed in 60 days from the Notice to Proceed. This project is set aside for emerging small business.
