Project Title: Flatwoods Job Corp Center, VA. Roofing Replacement Requirement Description of Requirement: This project is located at Flatwoods Civilian Conservation Center (CCC). The Center is on USDA Forest Service property on the Jefferson National Forest near the town of Coeburn in southwest Virginia. The Center is located at 2803 Dungannon Road, Coeburn, Virginia 24230. Driving directions can be obtained by calling the Center at (276) 395-3384. The contractor shall furnish all labor and materials to remove existing roofs and install new on the following buildings: a. Pine Dorm (footprint is approximately 7200 square feet). b. Spruce Dorm (footprint is approximately 7200 square feet). c. Warehouse (footprint is approximately 7200 square feet). d. Welding Shop (footprint is approximately 7200 square feet). e. Flammable Storage (footprint is approximately 700 square feet). The Contractor shall be responsible for measuring all roof dimensions and determining the actual dimensions of the roof and accessories. Roof slopes must be verified in field. Additional Information: The applicable Contracting Office for this action will be the U.S. Forest Service, Region 2, 740 Simms St, Golden Co. 80401 Contracting Officer is Lincoln S. Capstick III The Government estimate for the value of this award is between $25,000 and $100,000 Place of Performance is at the Flatwoods Civilian Conservation Center (CCC) located at 2803 Dungannon Road, Coeburn, Virginia 24230 Set-aside Status, This is a 100% small business set-aside, however if the Government should receive adequate competition for this acquisition, this action will be restricted to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. For this action to be set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns offers must be received from two or more service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns; and all bids received must be at a fair market price. NAICS code for this requriement is 238160. The Government expects to enter into a Firm Fixed Price contract for this requirement. A Request for Quotes (RFQ) will be issued by this office to meet this requirement. We anticipate the solicition to be issued on or about November 2, 2007 or on or about November 14, 2007 however this date may change and we invite all interested parties to check frequently for a possible change to this date.
