Description
This notice is posted in accordance with FAR Part 5.2 and 36.213-2 This RESTRICTED ACQUISITION is set aside for HubZone concern. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 238220 - Chilled water system installation with a size standard $15M. In accordance with FAR Part 4.1102 and DFARS 252.204-7004, Alternate A, System for Award Management (SAM), contractor must be registered in SAM prior to award. Offerors may obtain information on registration at https://www.sam.gov. The 502s Contracting Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) is contemplating the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) to install one Trane Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) in the Chilled Water Plant B496 at Joint Base San Antonio - Randolph. General scope of work: The Contractor shall remove any support equipment in preparation to install a new Trane Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), in the Chilled Water Plant B496. All removed equipment during the project shall remain the property of the Government. The Contractor shall deliver the old equipment to the base recycling center or another area on base as directed by the Government. The Contractor shall Install Trane Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) as per manufacturer's instructions including all required conduit, wiring, mounting pad, etc. The Contractor shall install the new Trane Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and associated accessories so as to meet Federal, State and Local standards. The Contractor shall supply the necessary software to effectively use and manage the VFD. Contractor shall also provide the necessary software licenses to operate the software for the VFD. The Contractor shall make sure the installed Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and the associated software that operates the Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) are compatible with the existing chillers and chiller controls equipment. THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION SYNOPSIS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. Any subsequent RFP will be made available electronically via the FedBizOpps (FBO) website (https://www.fbo.gov) on or about 19 Feb 2016. Offerors are responsible for routinely checking the FBO website for any possible solicitation amendments that may be issued. This notice does not commit the Government to award a contract. No collect calls or facsimile transmissions will be accepted. Any costs incurred as a result of a response to this announcement shall be borne by the firm and will not be charged to the Government for reimbursement.
