Fastcom:SuperFSCC/4-PCIe card are used in support of the Integrated Avionic Test Facilities (IATF) under the Vehicle Integration project with the Space Launch Systems (SLS) program. NASA/MSFC has determined Commtech, Inc. designed and owns this card which can be re-targeted to the next level of chip interface with no impact on compatibility. Only Commtech can provide the required product. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to Pamela Jackson/ARCS at
[email protected] or fax 256 961-9604 no later than 4:30 p.m. local time on July 26, 2013. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
