16 -- Joint Strike Fighter Program Low Rate Initial Production Lot 3 Propulsion Systems

The Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program Office intends to award a contract to Pratt & Whitney Military Engines, East Hartford, CT for Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Lot 3 requirements. The proposed contract will provide for eight Conventional Take-off and Landing (CTOL) install propulsion systems and two spare propulsion systems, ten Short Take-Off Vertical Landing (STOVL) variant propulsion systems, and three spare propulsion systems, CTOL and STOVL initial spares, initial modules, special tooling/special test equipment (ST/STE), autonomic logistics support and activation, performance based logistics operations support, and technical/financial data. The contract will also include options for two additional CTOL install propulsion systems and two additional spare propulsion systems, and associated initial spares, initial modules, special tooling/special test equipment (ST/STE), and autonomic logistics support and activation supplies and services. The anticipated award date is March 2008.
