The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the Consulate General of the United States, Ciudad Juarez, Mexico is pleased to announce an open competition for an assistance award through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). PAS Ciudad Juarez invites all eligible organizations to submit a proposal for a grant to design and implement a year-long series of extra-curricular activities focused on encouraging girls 12-16 in Ciudad Juarez and/or Chihuahua City to pursue higher education and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.The applicant will be expected to design a program that will expose girls to a range of STEM subjects and career fields and to encourage them to pursue higher education. The program must include two two-day intensive science camps with hands-on activities and mentoring conducted by female instructors working in STEM fields.
