Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) effort required to incorporate all Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) as a result of the engineering changes that incorporated the Integrated Mechanical Dianostics System (IMDS) into the MH-60R production aircraft

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-08-G-0010 on a sole-source basis with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC). This effort is for the Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) effort required to incorporate all Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) as a result of the engineering changes that incorporated the Integrated Mechanical Diagnostics System (IMDS) into the MH-60R production aircraft. This action is being awarded on a sole source basis to SAC in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements" because they are the designer, developer, and manufacturer of the H-60 helicopter with the detailed knowledge to allow them to perform these changes in a timely and cost effective manner. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which will be considered by NAVAIR.
