Long Lead Items in Support of Multi-Stage Supersonic Target Low Rate Initial Production

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a firm-fixed-price-fixed-fee contract to Alliant Tech Systems (ATK) in support of the Low Rate Initial Production of the Multi-Stage Supersonic Target (MSST) to provide the following: ITEM 0001 Rocket Motor Casing, Part Number E61534-01, Qty: 5 ITEM 0002 Rocket Motor Armed Firing Devices, Part Number M5925901, Qty: 5 ATK is the designer, developer, and sole producer of the MSST and is the only Contractor with the experienced personnel familiar with the MSST and access to proprietary information in order to complete the work in the time frame required. This is not a request for proposals.
