41--CUSTOM-BUILT REFRIGERATOR FOR IV PHARMACY

The Department of Veterans Affairs, North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System, VA Medical Center, Gainesville, FL, intends to award a sole source contract to GEM Refrigerator Company, a small business, for custom design of a GEM Special Built Two Compartment Pass Thru Refrigerator to include two custom-built non-refrigerated pass through chambers for renovation of IV Pharmacy Room. The authority for this sole source requirement is FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties will be considered if the response includes a clear understanding that their submission has the identical capabilities of the GEM Refrigerator System. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquistion Procedures of FAR Part 13 in accordance with the Commercial Item Acquisition Format of FAR Part 12. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. Interested parties must respond in writing to the Contracting Officer within five (5) calendar days after initial publication of this notice. The determination to open competition based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The NAICS code is 423740.
