The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), has a requirement to purchase a High Rotational Speed Friction Stir Welding machine. The ECS FSC system directly addresses the project mission to develop technological advances to improve manufacturability and affordability to complement Alcoa’s redesign efforts.
