R--Equipment Changes/Product Improvements and Studies for the AN/SPS-48(V) Radar System SPS-48G(V)1 Hazardous Weather Detection and Display Capability (HWDDC) Interface Implementation

Port Hueneme Division Naval Surface Warfare Center, (PHD NSWC), Port Hueneme, California intends to issue a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF)Order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00024-07-G-5342 on a sole source basis to ITT Corporation, 7821 Orion Ave Van Nuys, CA 91406. The Contractor shall provide all necessary technical documentation, logistics analyses, upgrades and design engineering services required to engineer, develop, document, build and implement an engineering change to the AN/SPS-48G(V)1 radar that adds an In-Phase and Quadrature (I&Q) Data Interface between the AN/SPS-48G(V)1 radar and the Hazardous Weather Detection and Display Computer (HWDDC) system. The BOA order will cover a one year period of performance (12 months), with an anticipated commencement date of 30 September 2010, and will continue through September 2011. ITT Corporation is the original equipment designer and sole manufacturer of this equipment with unique knowledge, experience, technical skills, and tooling required for developing, documenting, building and implementing engineering changes to these particular systems.
