R--Contract modification to increase the man-hours under N65540-04-D-0010

Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia intends to negotiate on a limited basis with General Dynamics Information Technology, 1545 Crossway Blvd., Suite A, Chesapeake, VA 22030. Contract N65540-04-D-0010 was awarded based on full and open competition with award being made to one offeror. The purpose of the modification is to increase effort by 132,680 hours well as extend the ordering and performance perios in order to bridge the gap and continue white and blue collar support until the follow-on contract can be awarded on the basis of full and open competition. The contract ceiling amount will be adjusted accordingly. All other terms and conditions of the existing contract will remain unchanged. The modification to the existing contracts will utilize other than full and open competition under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a(2), supplies or services available from only one responsible source and no other type ! of supply will satisfy agency requirements.
