D--Adding a follow on year for Unified Communications Enterprise Telecommunications Strategy, Architecture, and Program Management Support

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 260 Industrial Way West, Eatontown, NJ 07724 intends to enter into a contract on the basis of other than full and open competition for a service to develop a modernized and effective telephony solution. The TAC intends to award a sole source, one-year, firm-fixed-price contract to KT Consulting, Inc., 8585 East Hartford Drive, Suite 118 Scottsdale, AZ 85255, a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, pursuant to authority 38 U.S.C. 8127(c), Veterans First Contracting Program and Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-5, Authorized or required by statute. The proposed solicitation number for this effort is VA118-12-R-0678. Work under this acquisition will be performed at the contractor's facility. This acquisition will assist in the development of a modernized and effective telephony solution to be piloted. This pilot effort will test the feasibility of moving the entire VA organization to a communications model that is owned or leased by the Government and implemented and operated by a separate contractor organization. The North American Industrial Classification System code for this effort is 541512. The estimated date of award for this action is September 28, 2012.
