The Naval War College, Newport RI will issue a solicitation for the services of a Behavioral Science Researcher for the CNO Strategic Studies Group, Newport RI. To summarize the position: Under the general direction of the Behavioral Research Associate Fellow, the Behavioral Science Researcher supports all aspects of research activity including gaining basic familiarity with the various disciplines of nonverbal communication/behavior involved in the project research in order to support ongoing activity. The Research Assistant will be required to design, analyze and interpret research efforts in support of project objectives; utilize computer software to record, code and archive project research; draft and edit reports, articles, project materials and other deliverables; organize analytic/media laboratory and materials; perform basic internet and media research; and interact and coordinate with project participants. Some of the Personnel qualifications include a PhD in human or behavioral sciences (such as medicine, psychology, or anthropology) or other related discipline or comparable degree in related field with at least ten years of experience at the post-doctoral level. Background in research,behavioral methodologies design and statistical analysis desirable. Prior operational, military, international relations, or foreign affairs experience is also desired.
