R -- 9th International Congress on Community Services for Children, Youth, and Families with Special Health Care Needs

This year, the Congress, now named the 9th International Congress on Community Services for Children, Youth and Families with Special Health Care Needs, will be held in Washington, DC in December 2006. The Congress is being organized by the Department of Health and Human Services, Office on Disability (OD). The OD has contracted with New Editions Consulting, Inc. to organize and coordinate the Congress as well as coordinate interagency contributions. The U.S. Department of Education, National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, is a co-sponsor for the Congress. The Department of Education plans to issue a sole source purchase order to New Editions to provide special accommodations to Congress participants and speakers. As the Congress coordinator only New Editions can determine and arrange for the specific special accommodations required for participants and speakers. The purchase order will remain under the simplified acquisition threshold.
