63 -- Alarm Maintenance

Langley AFB is contemplating awarding an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) Vindicator alarm system maintenance contract. The contractor shall provide all onsite maintenance, personnel, equipment, tools, management, training, installation, operations, supervision, and logistic support required to maintain the alarm system. The anticipated award date is 1 April 07. A key aspect of this contract will be the contractor's ability to have qualified technicians available to respond to alarm problems on a 24 hr/7 day a week basis within a two hour response time and parts available to make a repair, if required. The project will result in the award of a Firm Fixed Price Contract with a base period and four option periods. NAICS code is 561621. This size standard is $11.5M. This acquisition is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Please monitor this site for further information pertaining to this acquisition. We anticipate that the Performance Work Statement and Request for Quote will be posted by 18 Jan 07. All potential offerors are reminded of the requirement to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Lack of registration in the CCR will make the offeror ineligible for award. Additionally, contractors must be registered at the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) website. Lack of registration in ORCA will make the offeror ineligible for award. Currently, funding is unavailable, but we anticipate funding will be available by time of contract award. The acquisition will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition procedures.
