NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) IT Section intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to Aventura Technologies, Inc. of Hauppauge, NY using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This contract will allow for Digital Video Recording System support services while services are re-procured competitively at the Western Currency Facility (WFC) located in Fort Worth, TX. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 561621, size standard $19M. Vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, the IRS will consider all responses received by March 28, 2014 no later than 12:00 PM EST. The IRs will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of quotations. A determination by the IRS not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the IRS. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a subsequent competitive procurement.
