Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source contract to Major Contracting Services,1305 E Cheyenne Road, Colorado Springs CO 80906-2831 for a commerical service using simplified procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13. This pre-solicitation notice, for a planned acquisition, is for Portable Chemical Toilet Rental and Service at the USAF Academy and Farish Memorial Park in Colorado. The period of performance is for a two-month base period (01 May – 30 June 2007) and three one-month option periods. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment and labor necessary to ensure that portable toilet services are performed at the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado and Farish Memorial Park (approximately 35 miles northwest of the Academy) in a manner that will maintain a satisfactory unit condition and present a clean, neat, and professional appearance. The National Acquisition Industrial Classification Standard Code (NAICS) is 562991 and the business size standard is $6,000,000.00. The 10th Contracting Office intends to award a contract by other than full and open competition in accordance with 15 U.S.C.6570 as implemented by FAR 19.1406, sole source awards to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns.
