Paving Expansion at USCG Sta Calumet Harbor, 4001 East 98th St., Chicago, IL 60617

Scope of Work: Pave a 20'x150' area. Area 2600 sq ft. Saw Cut approx. 170 linear ft of concrete curb. Saw cut and remove 100 sq ft of sidewalk. Excavate area to a 14" depth below finish grade. Dump excavated soil around engineering bldg to be landscaped by Sta Calumet Harbor personnel. Install 10" CA-6 stone base using CA-6 Type B crushed. Install 150 linear feet of B6-18" border curb using 6 bag mix with 2 #4 rebar and light broom finish. Grade and compact with vibratory roller. Two potable water access covers to be flush with new asphalt. Install 2&1/2 binder course asphalt, class I, N-50. Install 1&1/2 surface course asphalt, class I, N-50. All asphalt to be machined laid and power rolled. Current area to be paved has a propane line constructed of flexible hose, potable water and sewage lineas are also in the are needing to be excavated.
