Roadside Design Guide

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to award a sole source purchase order to the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) for 800 copies of the AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, 4 th Edition. The content for these books was developed by AASHTO's Standing Committee on Highways, through its Subcommittee on Design. These textbooks are an essential part, and provide the foundation for, FHWA's training in this area. The proposed action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a response identifying their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the total estimated value is not to exceed $144,000; the anticipated award date is in December 16, 2012.
