Vertical Well Abandonment - 2 ea - Inyo National Forest

AMENDMENT 03 EXTENDS THE SOLICITATION PERIOD TO JUNE 16, 2010. AMENDMENT 02 CHANGES COR TO NORA GAMINO AMENDMENT 01 CHANGES THE RESPONSE DATE. ALL OTHER INFORMATION REMAINS THE SAME. The USDA Forest Service, Inyo National Forest, has a requirement for the abandonment of 2 each vertical wells located in the Reds Meadow and Silver Lake campgrounds. Also included is the demolition and removal from National Forest lands of the well head enclosures and vaults constructed of concrete block, steel plates, concrete slabs, and well head plumbing. The projects are located on the Mono Lake and Mammoth Ranger Districts of the Inyo National Forest. There will be no pre-bid meeting, but interested vendors are encouraged to visit the well sites. Locations are as follows: 1) Reds Meadow Campground : Travel from Bishop 43 miles north on SH 395 to county road 203 (Mammoth Lakes turnoff), proceed west thru Mammoth on road 203 - 10 miles to Minarets Vista, proceeds north west on FS road 3S11 - 3 miles then proceed south on FS road 3S11 - 5 miles to Reds Meadow campground. 2) Silver Lake Campground: Travel from Bishop north on SH 395 approximately 50 miles to June Lake Loop turnoff, proceed west on road 158 - 8 miles to Silver Lake campground. Awarded contractor must have a California C-57 license. Solicitation package to be posted approximately May 7,2010. RESPONSE DATE IS CHANGED TO JUNE 2, 2010. Estimated start work date is July 6,2010. Estimated work time is 40 days.
