Survey Truck Topper - Black Hills National Forest

The Black Hills National Forest Surveying Department is requesting proposals for a surveying specific topper for our 2024 Chevy 2500 HD Standard Bed (5’2”W x 6’-8”L Interior Dimensions) Pickup. The following topper shall be a Highway Products, Inc. survey pack domed topper or equivalent. The surveying specific topper shall consist of the following items: Have a domed center hatch with a low side box on each side above the wheel wells. Both the domed center hatch and low side boxes shall run the length of the interior bed and have an aluminum diamond plated finish. The domed center hatch and low side boxes shall be waterproof, lockable to secure equipment, and accessible with gasketed shocks. All locks shall be keyed alike with 3 sets of keys provided. The low side boxes shall be equal size and consist of a total of 3 removable slidable tray boxes (2 on one side and 1 one on the other side). The slidable tray boxes will be used to organize Forest Boundary signs and hardware. The bottom area of the side boxes will store tire chains, chainsaw, personal gear and clothing, and miscellaneous tools. The domed center hatch shall have a 2000 lb slide with a survey tray. The surveying tray shall have compartments for a minimum of two surveying tripods, metal locator, level rod, surveying rod, and shall have an upper tray for survey monuments, boundary posts, post pounder, tamping bar, brush cutter, shovels, and other large miscellaneous items.
