Tree Seedlings

This notice is for information and planning purposes and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation on the part of the Government. Submission in response to this request is purely voluntary. The Government assumes no financial responsibility for costs incurred in response to this request for information. The USDA Forest Service, Chippewa National Forest in Cass Lake Minnesota is in search of suppliers for Tree Seedlings for the FY2013 spring planting season. The requirements will be 341,000 white spruce seedlings, 80,000 white pine seedlings and 7,000 balsam fir seedlings. All seedlings are required to be from seed collected in the North Central see zone 104 of Minnesota, which includes Beltrami, Cass and Itasca counties. All stock must be 3-0, graded and root pruned prior to packaging. This request is for suppliers of the tree stock only. Shipping would not be associated with the request and would be arranged separately. If a solicitation is issued, or an offer of contract award is made based on the information provided to the contracting office, all suppliers are required to be in compliance with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, and need to be registered in the System for Awards Management (SAM). It is also required that all suppliers be registered in the On-line Representations and Certifications Application, (ORCA) located at the same address.
