FAA Leesburg VA - ZDC ARTCC Replace Raised Flooring System in the Automation Wing Basement and Construct Two (2) Accessible Ramps with Asbestos Abatement

The FAA is seeking competent and qualified contractors to provide labor, equipment, tools and supplies and material to replace a raised flooring system and construct two (2) accessible ramps with asbestos abatement at the ZDC ARTCC - Leesburg VA located at 825 E Market Street - Leesburg VA 20176-4404. Mandatory Site Visit - December 5, 2014 @ 9:00 a.m. In order to gain access, offerors must be U.S. Citizens and provide government issued photo identification and submit list of attendees to [email protected] no later than Noon - December 3, 2013. Offers will be accepted from only those qualified offerors that have attended the mandatory pre-proposal site visit conference. The pre-proposal site visit conference will assure offerors of a full understanding of the FAA's requirements. Evaluation of proposals to this SIR will rely heavily on Financial Capability, Insurance Eligibility and Past Performance. Past work must have involved the complete removal and replacement of an entire raised floor access system to include the installation of new stringers, pedastals and raised floor such as the VESDA system and Signal Reference Grids (SRG). Renovation work on raised flooring must have been in close proximity to highly sensitive electronic equipment, racks and components. Also, contractor should show that he/she has recent experience managing certified subconractors who have a minimum of five (5) years experience in Asbestos Abatement. The government will focus on past performance information that demonstrates quality of performance relative to size and complexity of the procurement under consideration.
