Haley Hospital has a requirement to replace, modify and install fan coil locate at James A. Haley. The contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation and parts, materials and tools necessary to modify and replace 8 FAN COIL UNITS on the B floor of the Nursing home at the James A Haley Veterans Hospital located at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd Tampa Florida 33612. The contractor shall perform all work required during business hours. a) Contractor to remove existing ceiling grid and tile, remove existing Fan Coil Unit duct work and copper pipe and electrical pipe and wires for power and controls. After installation contractor will rewire all electrical and control wires to meet electrical code. b) Contractor needs to raise new FCU 8" (eight Inches) to allow room for new P-Trap for drain line. c) Contractor to re-pipe copper lines to meet existing lines and install new pneumatic control valves for chilled water and hot water re-heat and new isolation valves and strainers with new insulation to match or exceed existing rating on insulation. d) Contractor to install new duct to meet existing duct with new insulation to match or exceed the R-value of the existing insulation and must extend the return down to the meet existing the ceiling height. e) Contractor will have to modify ceiling to accept the new return air for the FCU (Fan Coil Unit) and filter slot. f) Contractor must follow Hospital Policy Memorandum NO. 138-24 dated November 2008 and Standard Operating Procedure NO. 138e-10 dated August 2009. Hospital Policy Memorandum NO 138-04 Dated February 2009. Policy and procedure will be provided to contract before the start of the job. The contractor shall perform work in a professional manner. The working area shall be cleaned at the end of the day. The place of performance will be conducted in the following areas: East wing hallway, Room 153, 150, 151, 152, 154, 142, and 144. Work shall be done in the order given. The VA will provide 2 (two) fan coil units that are in stock at the facility. Contractor will purchase 6 (six) fan coil units to match the two that the VA will provide. Period of performance: 09/28/2012 thru 9/27/2013 This is a Firm Fixed Price contract.
