The Army Field Support Command is seeking possible sources of supply for the M228 Practice Fuze, NSN: 1330-00-168-5502 (G878) for an estimated quantity of 1,227,600 with first delivery of 300,000 required by April 2008. The M228 practice fuze is use d with the M69 practice hand grenade body for training. This survey is open for National Technology and Industrial Base (NTIB) businesses only. This survey is being conducted to determine what NTIB business sources are available in the market place that can manufacture and deliver the requested item by the req uired delivery date. A technical data package will be provided, upon request, to assist respondents in developing their capability statements. Potential respondents are advised that this requirement contains technical data as defined by 22 CFR Section 120 .10 and bears a Distribution D distribution statement. A certified DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Data Agreement, or your certification number must be furnished with your request for the TDP. Send request for TDP to [email protected]. TDP will be issued via U.S. mail unless provided with your request is authorization to send via Federal Express and your Federal Express Account Number. Interested companies who have the necessary capabilities should respond by providing the following information; a summary of your companys capabilities; description of facilities, personnel, and manufacturing capabilities and experiences; how they direc tly relate to the planned procurement and a projected production plan that shows your company can meet the required delivery date of April 2008. A respondent should state if they have made this item in the past. If a respondent does not currently have co mplete relevant resources (facilities, equipment, technical, personnel, etc.) available, the respondent must identify their needs and be able to specifically demonstrate his ability to obtain those resources in a timely fashion to be able to deliver the it em by the required delivery date. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of sub-tier vendors or subcontractors, those vendors or subcontractors must also meet these criteria.
