Sources Sought Notice for notice of intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate and award a contract to procure Civco Customizable Head Support Posifix and Type S Styles with trUpoint ARCH Starter Kit and UC Posifix Extension from the manufacturer, Civco Medical Instruments Company, 102 First St S, Kalona, IA 52247-9589 for the VA Boston Healthcare System, Jamaica Plains Division. This specific Civco equipment was developed based on Civco Medical Instruments Company proprietary technology. The equipment is needed to be integrated with current Civco equipment to treat Stereotactic RadioTherapy patients with high doses of radiation therapy to a cranial lesion. The solicitation will be released on a sole source basis to Civco Medical Instruments Company, the manufacturer and only known supplier of this specific Civco equipment. The applicable NAICS code is 334517. The FSC/PSC is 6525. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation will be posted to this site.
