These parts are required for the 1A and 2B MPDE Exhaust Diffuser replacements and 1B and 2A MPDE Connecting Rod, Piston, Liner and Component assembly. These parts support the 1A, 1B, 2A and 2B Main Propulsion Diesel Engines. Only the OEM can provide parts necessary to ensure the integrity of the engines and therefore the parts must be compatible (proper form, fit and function) with the existing Main Propulsion Diesel Engines, and other main equipment systems applicable to the diesel engines. Fairbanks Morse will provide technical support during the maintenance and repair of these engines. In order to retain the services of the OEM, the material must be procured through the OEM. This synopsis is published for informational purposes and does not constitute a request for competitive proposals. The Government will consider all capability statements received prior to the closing date of this synopsis. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
