This is a Request for Information (RFI) only; it is not a request for quotations or offers. 52.215-3 -- Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997) (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. (b) Although proposal and offeror are used in this Request for Information, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) This sources sought is issued for the purpose of conducting market research to identify Veteran Owned Small Business and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business vendors that are capable and qualified to perform site assessments, configuration, computer aided design renderings, delivery and installation of Herman Miller manufacturer, or other equivalent, furniture manufacturers products. Vendors do not have to provide all or any of these services or products from the listed manufacturer to respond to this request for information. It is encouraged that all Veteran Owned Small Business and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business vendors with abilities to deliver and install Herman Miller manufacturer, or equivalent, furniture within the geographic area of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, or Iowa respond with the information requested below. (d) The information gathered as a result to this sources sought will be used to determine business set-aside opportunities, facilitate solicitation and competition using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and assist in determining if a Blanket Purchase Agreement(s), or other procurement vehicles, is in the best interest of the government to meet recurring requirements.
