Request for Information: Cart Washers The Department of Veterans Affairs in Erie, Pennsylvania is seeking information regarding cart washers. Several Salient Features are listed below. If your company can provide a cart washer that meets these features, please submit the following information to [email protected], no later than November 20, 2013 @ 11:00am EST. Information to Submit " GSA Schedule, if applicable " Socioeconomic status of your company " List of federal contracts held by your company " Confirmation that your company is listed in SAM " Product brochures and other publically-available information Salient Characteristics " Uses steam to attain the operational temperature of the water for cleaning/disinfecting. " Must be capable of attaining a minimum temperature of 180 degrees F on rinse cycle for thermal disinfection reference ANSI/AAMI ST797.2.6 " Must be capable of providing enzymatic cleaning " Must have a drying cycle to dry the carts at the end of the disinfection cycle " Must be capable of manual operation with operator programed cycles and pre-programed cycles, with the temperature and cycle time adjustable by the operator " Must provide a printout of each cycle to document the process " Must have audible and visual alarms for malfunctions " Outer walls must be of stainless steel construction for durability and cleaning and cover the area from the floor to the suspended ceiling. " Washer must be a "pass through" design to allow carts to move from the decontamination room, into the washer and exit outside of the decontamination room. The dimensions of the existing cart washer (model 76003) are Exterior: 110" H x 73"W x 88"L, Interior (wall to wall): 87"H x 50"W x 86"L (fits 2 small carts or 1 large cart) and the Pit: approx 11-1/2" deep, Door opening: 37-13/16"W x 78-3/8"H, Door 37-3/8"W x 78-3/8"H. " The new cart washer must be able to accommodate case carts of these dimensions: " 45" length 26" wide " 53" length 25" wide " 43" length 25" wide " 41" length 23" wide " Tallest case cart height of 53" " Appendix A includes several diagrams of the current cart washer. " Must be able to fit into the existing room without disrupting the existing work flow. A floor plan is attached to this scope of work, Attachment B.
