The intent of this sources sought synopsis is to identify potential qualified manufacturers for an Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Jack Trailer. An 8-foot wide flat bed drop deck trailer is required to haul aircraft tripod jacks that have a 60-ton lift capacity and munitions truck loaders. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS; there is no solicitation available at this time. No response will be provided to requests for a solicitation. This synopsis is for information planning purposes and the Government will not pay or otherwise reimburse respondents for information submitted. All documentation shall become the property of the Government. *Based on some confusion, this sources sought synopsis was edited to clarify the "60-ton jack" statement. When asked about this issue, the customer responded with the following explanation: "The jacks don't weigh 60 tons; they can lift 60 tons. The weight requirement for the trailer doesn't come from the jacks; it comes from the MHU-83C/E munitions truck loaders. However, the jacks are wider than the loaders so the width requirement comes from them. Basically, we are trying to get one trailer to meet both requirements."
