The SOLICITATION for a contractor to provide Personal Property Moving and Storage Services for US Coast Guard Alameda, California will be issued under Solicitation# HSCG84-11-Q-P4A002 . The solicitation is scheduled to issue on February 3, 2011 with a planned closing date of March 18, 2011. The Coast Guard is seeking contractors interested in submitting proposals for providing personal property moving and storage services for US Coast Guard Alameda Business Service Unit. The Contractor shall furnish services and materials for the preparation of personal property (including servicing of appliances) for movement or storage, drayage and related services. Unless otherwise indicated in the Schedule, the Contractor shall: (1) Furnish all materials except Government owned containers (Commercial Spec ASTM-D4169-01), all equipment, plant and labor; and (2) Perform all work in accomplishing containerization of personal property for overseas or domestic movement or storage, including: (i) Stenciling; (ii) Cooperage; (iii) Drayage of personal property in connection with other services; (iv) De-containerization of inbound shipments of personal property; and (v) The handling of shipments into and out of the Contractor's facility. The Contractor shall perform services within the following defined areas of performance, which include terminals identified therein: Area I - All points within Counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara, CA. Area II - All points within Counties of Marin, Sonoma, and Solano, CA. The anticipated start date will be 01 June 2011 and requirement is anticipated to extend through 31 May 2016. The applicable North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 484210, Used Household and Office Goods Moving. The Government intends to award two contracts-one primary contract and one secondary contract from the solicitation. This will be a 100% Small Business Set Aside.
