Objective - The Naval Research Laboratory is searching for potential sources capable of performing the services for the management, operation, maintenance and repair of transportation equipment at the Naval Research Laboratory and associated field sites. It is anticipated that a Request For Proposals will be issued later this year. Answers to this RFI will be key in shaping certain aspects of the requirement. 3. Contract Type - Combination Firm Fixed Priced (FFP) for the services of management and operation and Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) for the maintenance and repair portion of the requirement 4. Competition Strategy - Currently contemplating full and open competition unless the results from this RFI support the set aside of any kind. 5. Length of Award - One (1) year base with four (4) one-year option periods. 6. Services Characteristics - Attached to this document is a draft Statement of Work for the effort. The Government is currently in the planning stages for this procurement and therefore will continue to modify the language within the Statement of Work as necessary. The attached document does not represent a final Statement of Work. 7. Only list contracts related to transportation support and maintenance similar to those of the draft Statement of Work attached. Please describe your company's ability and procedure to employ additional personnel to support urgent new requirements and the ability and procedure for replacement of key personnel. Identify applicable contracts and describe how you met the requirement for additional or replacement personnel that met the Statement of Work personnel requirements.
