Auxiliary Airfield

"Altus AFB OK is seeking auxiliary facilities capable of supporting the flying training mission of KC135 and C17 aircraft. In addition to daytime training operations, the aircraft will perform night vision goggle training and need special lighting (infrared, embedded preferred) and a means to extinguish "normal" lighting to support that mission. Crash/Fire/Rescue support and tower (air traffic control) services are required. This request can be met in two ways: 1) via an airfield service contract that can provide the above services at an existing airfield; or 2) via a usage agreement for a private or otherwise unavailable airfield (minimum runway length of 7000 feet)."
