V--RELOCATION, REVALIDATION AND RECOMMISSION OF SENSITIVE HIGH-END LABORATORY RESEARCH INSTRUMENTS

Notice of Contract Action (NOCA), notice of intent to award sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 1 (NCO 1 New England) 650/90C intends to negotiate and award a contract for the short-haul (inter-campus) relocation, revalidation and commissioning of high-end, sensitive laboratory instruments to Applied Biosystems, LLC 850 Lincoln Center Dr., Foster City, CA 94404-1128. (DUNS#001184480) The equipment/services are described as follows: the contractor shall perform de-installation, crating, re-installation and IQOQ (Installation Qualification and Operational qualification) for the onsite service of the ABI 3130x1 capillary electrophoresis, ABI Real Time PCR 7300, and the ABI Real Time PCR 7900HT manufactured and purchased from Applied Biosystems. This is for the (intercampus) relocation of scientific equipment from Bldg 35, Room 130 to Bldg 32, Room 146 at VA Providence, RI. The system was acquired from applied Biosystems under purchase order 650D90032 and 650-P252306. The contractor shall test and revalidate the systems prior to VA Providence re-commissioning the system. The contractor has the burden of revalidating the system and restoring it to a state and configuration for carrying out VA research activities. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice contains information current through FAC 2005-60. The NAICS is 488991. The FSC/PSC is V003. No solicitation will be posted to this site.
