Fed Biz Ops Announcement Special Notice Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract Business Operations This is a notification that the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) intends to extend contract services currently performed by ECS Federal, Inc., 2750 Prosperity Avenue, Suite 600, Fairfax, VA 22031 under the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract HQ0147-17-C-0027. The contract was previously awarded on a sole source basis under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Agency Requirements. MDA intends to execute a contract modification to extend the contract for a base period of seven months with two, 6-month options to provide uninterrupted, high-quality continuity of operations in Strategic Planning & Financial Management Support and Financial System Support & Integration. The current period of performance expires on July 28, 2017. The extension will extend services through February 20, 2019. The basis of the intended contract modification is under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Agency Requirements. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541611 with a size standard of $15M revenue. This notice is not a request for proposals. This action will result in a modification to a "bridge" contract to extend contract services which is necessary to allow for continuity of critical contractor services until a competitive contract is awarded under the Technical Engineering, Advisory, and Management Support (TEAMS) acquisition strategy. Any information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for enhancing competition in a future competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for information submitted.
