The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 22, on behalf of the VA Greater Los Angles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS), is seeking a Contractor to provide Electroencephalography Technician Services, on an on-call basis, to the VAGLAHS Neurology Department. Providers shall be local in order to satisfy the on-call requirement. The Government will not pay a non-local premium for services. The following additional information is provided: EEG TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or GED Certification/Credential: American Board of Registration of EEG technologists EXPERIENCE AND/OR KNOWLEDGE IN THE FOLLOWING. Contract EEG Technicians shall be knowledgeable and/or experienced in the following: " Skill and precision in use of the materials and equipment used in performing Evoked potentials, EEG, Ceeghraphy, and Stereo EEG and EEG telemetry. " Variations in brain anatomy. " Anticonvulsant medications and their effects on the patients and on the EEG and knowledge of other frequently used pharmaceuticals in the veteran population.
