Introduction/History The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) China Lake, CA seeks qualified vendors to provide telephone operator services. This is a Sources Sought to determine the availability and technical capability of small businesses to provide the required services. Please indicate in your responses if you are a small business, small disadvantage business, 8(a) firm, woman owned, HUBZone firm and/or service disable veteran owned small business firm. This is a follow-on contract action that will continue providing telephone operator services. Currently the telephone operator answers 100/300 calls per day. The contract will be performed at China Lake, CA, no travel is anticipated. The Government will provide all equipment and office space (computer, Meridian console, and desk, chair, and hard copy directories). The resulting contract is expected to be a firm-fixed price contract for one base year and four, one year options for a total of five years. However, contract type and duration could change. Qualifications: The contractor shall provide telephone operating services utilizing a six-line Northern Telecom Meridian attendant console with call waiting. The telephone operator’s duties include, but are not limited to telephone directory assistance, looking up telephone numbers/extensions and locations of individuals and/or organizations. The contractor’s workforce shall posse’s strong interpersonal, telephone skills and be crossed trained in all aspects of directory assistance/telephone operator services, window based computer systems and proficient with Microsoft software suite (e.g. word and excel). All telephone operators will be required to obtain a favorable security determination. Prior to performance start date, the employee(s) must have at a minimum an interim security clearance. Required Capabilities: In order to assess capabilities, we are requesting the submission of the following information from any firms believing they can provide the required operator services. 1) Company Name and address. 2) Company’s point of contract – name, phone number and email address. 3) Company size for NAICS 561421 size standard $7M. 4) Specifying if your company is – small business, small disadvantaged business (SDB), 8(a) certified, woman owned, HUBZone certified or service disabled veteran owned small business certified, or other. 5) How you will hire and maintain a stable work force for the duration of the contract.
