Collection and Transporation of Class A Recyclables

The Federal Bureau of Prisons has a requirement for collection and transportation of Class A Recyclable services in the discipline area of the Safety Department at the Federal Correctional Institution Ray Brook, located at Ray Brook, New York 12977. Services will be required for the time period November 7, 2011 through November 6, 2014. The Government intends to make a single award for this requirement. The estimated quantities for the contract are as follows: one (1) pick up a month. The work shall include, but is not limited to the provisions of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to transfer the recyclable materials being stored at FCI Ray Brook. The work shall include picking up recyclable materials at no charge to the government and providing compensation based on current market rates (Spot Market Rate). The contractor will provide a trailer to be stored on the grounds of FCI Ray Brook and provide transportation to remove materials stored in the container. Cardboard that is baled by the Government will be placed in the trailer. The Government will contact the contractor when the trailer is nearly full for an exchage of trailers or to empty the trailer on the lot. The trailer will be required to be of a reinforced floor type to support a forklift. The trailer will be live loaded by the Government using a forklift. A site visit will determined at a later date for all interested bidders. The Contractor will be in compliance with HSPD-12.
