Description
The Department of State (DOS), (Safety, Health, and Environment Management) Division (OBO/OPS/SHEM) intend to purchase an in-vehicle data capture system to provide driver training and feedback. The second part of this requirement will provide feedback to DOS that will be used to improve behind-the-wheel performance to reduce the severity and frequency of motor vehicle mishaps. The vehicle data system must be able to capture triggering events and record video, immediately prior to and after the event. The visual and other recorded data will be analyzed by the vendor for behind-the-wheel behavior that is inconsistent with safe driver performance and training. The analysis will be provided to the DOS and will be used by safety and health professionals and motor pool management to improve driver performance through training and feedback sessions. Any audio capturing capability must be able to be disabled. The scope of work will entail several project task elements at two selected overseas posts in Africa. Those project task elements will include vehicle data recorders and data interpretation; project planning and management; installation training sessions and hardware installation; orientation training and feedback technique training; data interpretation training; and data analysis and contractor reports.
