88--Notice of Intent - Sole Source Procurement

The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, Maryland in support of the US Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR) is issuing this notice of intent to procure services via Sole Source through the award of a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to Midwest Research Swine, Inc.. Under the contemplated award, Midwest Research Swine, Inc., 31009 654 Ave., Gibbon, MN 55335, will provide High Health Status Yorkshire-cross and Duroc research swine. This is a follow-on award to W81XWH-10-D-0008 which was performed by Midwest Research Swine, Inc. Request for Information (RFI) W81XWH-15-0-RSB1 was posted on https://www.fbo.gov/ from 16 March 2015 to 24 March 2015 with no responses received. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 112210 with a size standard of $0.75 mil. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Responsible, interested parties may identify their interest by submitting capability information by Thursday, 28 April 2015 at 4:00 PM Central Daylight Time in order to establish the ability of the responder to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered for the sole purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
